I know that by selecting one another, Sam and I also may have chosen a tougher road to drop, but we’ve already been in a position to grow together and so have our families. There’s been a learning that is steep for all those. Sam and his loving, open-minded and family that is open-hearted had the oppertunity to break the stereotypes my children unfortuitously had of white Us citizens. And I’ve been able to reconnect with where I originate from and whom I am by teaching my husband and in-laws about Sikhism and being an Indian in this nation.
In May 2021, six months I asked them to meet him after I told my parents about Sam. Should they didn’t accept, I would hear them out and give consideration to ending it. Read more
